Hello, here with a comment from :iconprojectcomment:

I was immediately taken in by the creepy face design and the rendering of the mask. You captured the texture really nicely and the shading looks very accurate to how light and shadows would look on a polished surface with crevices here and there. The hair is probably my favorite because it looks so real. It can be difficult working with watercolors, but you managed to create the illusion of strands, and define different sections of hair without making everything bleed together. When it comes to the mask and coloring, the only parts i feel need some touching up are the eyes and teeth, as they look very dark, and in the reference you posted, they're a much lighter brown. The mask would definitely look more strikingly eerie if the eyes and teeth were a lighter color popping out from the dark shaded sockets. The mouth is also thinner on the left side, making it look uneven. Other than that, the mask is done very well.

As for my other criticisms, it might be a bit unconventional to comment on, but the way the image is presented could be improved. I don't know if you scanned this image or took a photo, but the left side looks a bit cut off and for this type of image, it would be better if ALL the mask was visible and in the dead center. Cropping in photoshop could do the trick, but i also noticed the little signature, which i'm guessing you don't want to crop out. When it comes to working traditionally, it's a good idea to lay down a box for which you want your image to be in, so that way you don't have to worry about accidentally going outside the canvas. These are just tips to keep in mind for when you want to share your pics online. I know it can be a pain getting traditional artwork online to look the same as it does in real life >.<

And that's the end of my comment. Didn't really have much to add on this lovely painting, but i hope you enjoy it regardless, and keep up the good work :)
